Modafinil

Modafinil is commonly prescribed to patients suffering from narcolepsy or shift work sleep disorder. Modafinil is classed as a eugenic as it promotes wakefulness in the people that take it. Modafinil is also used as an alternative to amphetamine by armies to allow troops to stay awake for greater periods. Moreover, the recreational use of modafinil and armodafinil is becoming popularised by students as a substitute for taking Ritalin or Adderall, which are prescription medications used to treat attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD), as they can help with focus-related issues and temporarily improve mood.

Modafinil is sold in 100-milligram and 200-milligram tablets and is administered orally once daily.

Common side effects that can occur when taking modafinil include headache, dizziness, nausea, and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.

If you suffer from hypersensitivity, it is not advised for you to take modafinil. There may be a risk that the patient can suffer skin reactions and rashes. Patients may also suffer from irregular/increased heartbeat and drastic mood changes (agitation, confusion, depression, hallucinations, thoughts of suicide). Discontinue using the medications immediately if any serious side effects occur.
